Using the scoreboard (Apple Watch)
- Start. Open POINT on your watch and choose "New match". On first launch you can tap "Try it" for a ~20-second demo with the real scoreboard.
- Score a point. Tap a panel: the top one is the opponents' and the bottom one is yours. The panels never swap when you change ends.
- Undo. The "Undo" button is always visible and goes back to the first point.
- Rules. You can choose advantage, golden point or Star Point, tie-break, super tie-break, mini sets, long set or a timed match.
- If the app closes. Every point is saved the moment it happens; when you reopen it you are back on the scoreboard with all your points.
- History. When you finish, the watch shows the result and a summary; the history stays on the watch.
- No account, no network. The scoreboard works without an iPhone, without a network and without an account.
Health (optional)
"Score only" asks for no permissions. If you turn on "Record workout", POINT asks for Health access to read your heart rate and active energy and to save the match as a workout (Apple has no "padel" type: it is saved as tennis or another type you choose). That data stays in Health and never reaches Einitia. You can change the permission in iPhone Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices.
The iPhone app (optional)
It receives your watch history, lists it and exports it to CSV. The watch works without it, and the iPhone app also works without a watch for using Rooms.
Using Rooms
Rooms is an optional mode: several people follow the same match and each keeps it in their own history. It needs a connection.
- Enter. Enter Rooms from the iPhone app. You can use Sign in with Apple (we only ask for your name, not your email) or continue as a guest.
- Create a room. The person who creates the room assigns permissions and shares the code, QR or link.
- Join. Enter the code, scan the QR or open the invitation link.
- Team and position. In the locker room each player chooses a team and position. You can add guests who do not have the app: type their name.
- Play. Whoever has the scoring permission keeps the score; the others follow live.
- Share. When it ends you can share a card or a link to the result. Your name is shown only if you consented; names of guests without an account never appear.
- History. The match is saved in each player's history. You can delete matches from your history.
Rooms with the Apple Watch
- Follow the room on the watch. If your iPhone has the room open, the watch shows a "Room match" card with the code. Open it to see the live score (read-only) and who is scoring. With the screen off or the app in the background, the watch does not query the room.
- Score with the watch. If you hold the baton, tap the room chip on the iPhone and "Score with your watch"; on the watch, open the card and tap "Score". The watch uploads the points to the room by itself, even with the iPhone in your pocket, and if it loses the network it keeps them and uploads them when it is back. "Score here" on the iPhone gives the baton back to you.
- If someone else takes the baton, your watch tells you ("… is now scoring") and switches to showing the room; whatever it had not uploaded reaches the room and the room's creator decides.
- One active match. If you are seated in a room while a local match is in progress on the watch, the watch asks: "Join" saves the local match as unfinished; "Not now" leaves it as it is.
- Stop scoring or following. On the scoreboard, End match > "Stop scoring (the room goes on)" hands over the baton without ending the room's match. On the mirror, "Stop following this room" removes it from the watch without leaving the room.
- Temporary access. The watch enters the room with an access the iPhone gives it, limited to that room and valid for up to 4 hours. If it expires, the watch asks you to open POINT on the iPhone.
Report and block
If you see an offensive name or abusive behaviour, use "Report" on the profile, member, guest, room or shared result, or "Block" that account: someone you block cannot join your rooms and you cannot join theirs, and they appear in the app as "Blocked player". Guests without an account and rooms cannot be blocked: report them. You can also write to info@einitia.com.
Delete your account
In the app, open My profile (your picture, top right of Rooms) > "Delete account" (a guest sees "Leave and delete the guest account") and you can delete your account at any time. If Rooms is paused or asks for an update, that screen offers "Delete my Rooms account". Your account and data are removed and Sign in with Apple access is revoked. Your name disappears from other people's matches. Copies other people hold on their devices cannot be deleted from the app.
FAQ
Do I need an account to use the scoreboard? No. The scoreboard never needs an account or a connection. Only Rooms needs an account.
What data does the app collect? The scoreboard, none. In Rooms, only what is needed for it to work: your profile, rooms and room matches. See the privacy policy.
Is my Health data sent anywhere? No. It stays in Health and never reaches Einitia, not even in Rooms.
Are there ads, tracking or purchases? No ads, no tracking, no analytics and no in-app purchases.
What age do I need to be for Rooms? 16 or over.
Someone added me as a guest in a room and I want my name erased. Write to info@einitia.com with the room or link: we will erase or anonymise it without you needing an account.
Can I use Rooms without an Apple Watch? Yes. The iPhone app works without a watch.
Can I score a room from the watch? Yes, if you hold the baton and have a watch paired with POINT. See "Rooms with the Apple Watch" above. Other members can follow the room on their watch, read-only.
A room's score is wrong. Whoever has the scoring permission can correct it. Room scores are unofficial.
How do I export my matches? From the iPhone app, as CSV.
How do I exercise my data protection rights? In the app (delete your account, change your name, withdraw consents) or by writing to info@einitia.com. You can also complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
